It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Carole on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 74. Beloved wife of Max. Loved mother of Lori (Gianpaolo Fortuna) and Cathy. Cherished grandmother of Layne Wells. Dear sister of Robin Walker (Vesna), Gail Walker, Kevin (Debbie), Thomas Walker (Karen) and Vicky Cherrier (Mike). Loved sister-in-law of Peter and daughter-in-law of Emma Corradetti (the late Adamo). Predeceased by her brother Phil Walker (Pat). Missed also by many nieces, nephews and friends. Carole devoted her life to taking care of others and was well known for her amazing cooking and baking skills. She will be deeply missed by many. Special thanks to the staff of St. Joseph’s Hospital ICU for their dedicated care during this difficult time. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. and followed by a Celebration of Life beginning at 11 a.m. at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 454 Highway #8 (east of Millen Road) STONEY CREEK (905-664-4222). In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to St. Joseph’s Hospital ICU would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
