1924-2017
The death of Carl S. Hay of Fredericton, NB occurred on April
28th, 2017 at the Veteran’s Health Unit. Born August 20th, 1924, he
was the son of the late Roy and Clara (Rickard) Hay and husband to
June (McLaughlin) Hay.
Carl is survived by his wife; sons, Ronald and Reginald Hay;
several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sister, Sharon Jones;
sister-in-law, Colleen Hay and brother-in-law, Marvin Anderson (Amber)
and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents; son,
Roger; daughter-in-law, Ann (Kamermans); brother, Melvin; sisters,
Gertrude, Marion, Leytha and Ruby; June’s parents, Clifford and
Dorothy McLaughlin; brothers-in-law, Ross and Darryl McLaughlin, Hazen
Kitchen, Elmer Harding and Robert Jones.
Visitation will be held at McAdam’s Funeral Home on Tuesday,
May 2nd, 2017 from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A memorial service will be
held at Devon Park Baptist Church on Wednesday, May 3rd, 2017 at 2:00
pm with Rev. Terry Woodcock officiating. Interment will in
Sunny Bank Cemetery. For those who wish, donations in memory of Carl
made to the NB Heart & Stroke Foundation or Cancer Research
Society would be appreciated by the family.
