Calvin Wallace Brennan
1946-2017
The family of Calvin Wallace Brennan sadly announces his
passing on July 16, 2017 at the Upper River Valley Hospital at the age
of 71.
Cal was a proud member of the Woodstock Town Police Force for
25 years and made many lifelong friends while serving his
community. He was a lifetime member of the Woodstock Valley
Yacht Club and a member of both the Woodstock Elks Club and Lions
Club.
Cal was larger than life in many ways. He always
had a joke or story to pass along. He lived life to the
fullest and was always the first to offer a helping hand to anyone in
need. After retirement he enjoyed boating, hunting or
puttering in his yard or gardens. He passed many a day
having an outing on the side by side or entertaining in the “man
cave”. Cal was spontaneous and loved to plan and
execute last minute trips or adventures. But nothing gave
him more joy in his later years than to spend time with his beloved
family either on frequent trips to Ontario or when they visited here
in New Brunswick. He was so proud of his son, daughter in
law, grandchildren and great grandchildren and he adored each and
every one of them.
Cal is survived by his loving wife Kenny Jean, son Michael
(Janet) of Petawawa, On., mother Ruth Sarky of Woodstock, sister Judy
Bacchus (Rob) of Edmonton, AB., grandchildren Natasha (Adam) and
Nathan (Amanda), great grandchildren Kaiden, Levi, Nora and Corbin,
sister in law Linda (Billy) Kaine, brother in law James (Sandra)
Williams, special friends David and Polly Kennedy, Carla Kennedy,
Chris (Sarah) Kennedy, Bev Boone and Bob & Starr
Peterson.
The family would like to extend their gratitude and
appreciation to all the Extra-Mural workers, doctors and nurses at the
Upper River Valley hospital and a special thank you to Dr. Anderson
and to nurse Cari on 2 North for your compassionate care during
Cal’s final hours.
At the family’s request, there will be no
visitation or service. A private burial will be held in
McAdam, NB at a later date. Arrangements are entrusted to
The Carleton Funeral Home &
Crematorium 337 Lockhart Mill Road Jacksonville,
NB.
Donations can be made to the Carleton County Animal Shelter
or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
