Burton, Maxwell George ‘Max” – peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on Tuesday, June 27th, 2017, in his 80th year. Son of the late Maxwell Sr. and Louise Burton. Beloved husband of Muriel Burton (nee Gueguen) of Trenton. Loving father of Susan (Ken) MacDonald of Bewdley, Paula (Jean Marc) Poirier of Severn and Shelley (Ed) MacIntyre of Stirling. Proud grandfather of Lacey, Bradley (Alison), Candice (Matt), Jessica, Jocelyn (Travis), Alina and Ashley and great grandfather of Holt, Connor and Miller. Max is survived by his sisters, Evelyn LaRonde, Mary (Merill) White, Gloria Burton and Vicki (Lawrence) Hayter, and by his brother, Vance (Silvia) Burton. He is predeceased by his sisters, Gladys Costella and Mabel Burton. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Church of St. Michael The Archangel, Belleville on Tuesday, July 4th at 12:00 noon, with the family receiving friends at the Church one hour prior. Cremation has taken place. Private inurnment at St. James Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273).
