Gone to be with the Lord, Burkett passed away peacefully at Altamont Care Community Nursing Home, West Hill, Ontario, on Tuesday, September 19, 2017. Lillian Burkett Lees (Powell) at age 93. Beloved wife of the late Roy Lees. Dear mother of Grant (Patricia) of Burnt River; Clarence of B.C.; Jim (Glenna) of Centreville; Victoria (Reg St. Louis) of Oshawa; Darlene Jamieson (Barry) of Oshawa; Ken of Napanee; the late Judie Emo (Robert of Pickering); Donald Lees; and Ross Lees (Pamela of Waterloo). Loving grandma to 23 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Sister of Ross Powell (Marg) and the late Merton Powell. The family will receive friends at the HANNAH FUNERAL HOME in Napanee at 123 Dundas Street West (613-354-3341) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Service in the Chapel on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. (with visitation one hour prior). Interment at St. Alban’s Cemetery, Adolphustown. Memorial donations (by cheque, please) to the Canadian Cancer Society or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
