CARTY (nee Giebel), Brigid Dora
September 8, 1930 – November 17, 2017
Brigid quietly passed away after facing many health challenges. She loved her lifelong profession as a neuro-nurse, beginning her training in Berlin and emigrating in 1955 after hearing a radio advertisement that Canada needed nurses.
Brigid is predeceased by Henry and survived by daughters Fay (Bob) and Gaylee (Gerrard) and grandson Russell, all of whom she loved deeply. She will be missed by her family and friends as well as by her nieces, nephews and lifelong friend Ingetraut in Germany.
A Celebration of Brigid’s life will be held at Eden Brook Funeral Home (17 Avenue SW and Lower Springbank Road) on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 10:30 am, followed by reception.
