Obituary for Brian Wright
Peacefully, surrounded by family on Monday, July 3, 2017, Brian Albert Wright passed away at his beloved family homestead at the age of 68. Beloved soulmate to Muriel (nee Powers) for 50 years. Loved father to Charlotte Wright Boyd and her husband Max Boyd, and Charlene and her husband Mark DeGurse. Proud grandpa and papa to Ryan, Collin, Tanis, Taner and Tanin. Loved brother to Beth and her husband Paul Aicken, Barb and her husband Brian Jackson and sister-in-law Susan Wright. Brian was the son to the late Robert C. (1999) and Florence (2015) Wright. Predeceased by his brother, Bill Wright (2013). Brian will be dearly missed by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Brian was a proud member of UA Local 663, Pipefitters, Welders and Sprinkler Fitters for over 40 years, a 50 year member of the Forest Legion 853, a Past Master of the Huron Lodge No. 392 AF + AM and a Shriner with the Mocha Temple, London. Brian was also a member of the Islandview Hunt Camp. He had a passion for blacksmithing, designing, and building, as well as being an avid NASCAR fan. Visitors will be received by the family on Sunday from 1-4 and 7-9 at the Wyoming Chapel, 650 Broadway St. Wyoming, where a Masonic Lodge service will take place at 6:30pm followed by a Legion Service at 6:45pm. A funeral service will take place at Camlachie United Church on Monday, July 10, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the London Regional Cancer Program, Patient Assistance Program (www.lhsc.on.ca), the Shriners Hospital for Children (www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org) or the Camlachie United Church.
