Brant, Richard Matthew Joseph – peacefully at home, surrounded by family on Sunday, October 1st, 2017 in his 78th year. Son of the late Joseph and Viola Brant. Beloved husband of Margaret Brant of Belleville and the late Gale Marie Brant. Loving father of Richard Brant (Kelly Fischer-Brant) of Ottawa and Michelle (Kenny) Pappas of Belleville. Step father of Deborah (Terry) Richardson, Dolly (Steve) Williams and Scott (Tabitha) Stoliker. Richard is lovingly remembered by his four grandchildren, four step grandchildren and eleven step great grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Helen White and his brother Larry (Betty) Brant, both of Belleville. Richard will be remembered by his nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. He was a long serving and dedicated member of Holy Rosary Church, Belleville. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at the Queen of the Most Holy Rosary Church, 169 North Park Street, on Thursday, October 5th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation to follow with inurnment at St. James Cemetery at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel (613-968-2273) Donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
