Webber, Blanche Marie-Claude (née Giroux)
April 25, 1923-Jan.1, 2017 (93 yrs)
Born in Moonbeam, Ontario, Blanche Marie-Claude Webber (née Giroux), slipped away peacefully with her sister Murielle and family at her side at The Willowgrove LTC, in Ancaster.
Predeceased by her husband Hilton Webber (April 29, 1926 -January 22, 1996) (70 yrs) she is survived by her step-son, Gary Webber (Linda) of Nanaimo BC, her grand-daughters, Jennifer Wells (Len) and Barbara Funt and her great-grandchildren, Amanda and Bradley Wise and Colby Funt. She is also survived by her sisters Gaby Lajeunesse of Timmins, Ontario, Murielle Desjardins of Burlington, Ontario and Bert Giroux and his wife Marge of Oakwood, Ontario.
On March 3rd, 1941, Blanche received her Volunteer Auxiliary Drivers Corps certificate, qualifying her as a member of the Volunteer Auxiliary Drivers Corps in Kirkland Lake, Ontario.
She was a long time resident of the Lake Promenade and the East Mall area.
Blanche`s generosity extended not only to her country, but to her many family members, friends and Church Communities. The family wishes to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation for the kind and professional care provided by the staff at The Willowgrove LTC, Battlefield wing.
Cremation has taken place. An Anglican Service and Celebration of Life will be held in the spring at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Burlington, Ontario. Details to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to a Charity of your choice, would be appreciated by the family.
