Smith, Blanche Maude Age 83 of
Country Harbour Lake, Guysborough County passed away peacefully with
her family by her side on Wednesday, June 21, 2017 in St.
Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born in Country
Harbour Lake, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Annie Alice
(Sinclair) Pulsifer. Blanche ran the Post Office in Country Harbour
Lake and later worked for St. Mary’s Home Makers,
Sherbrooke. In her retirement, she loved to bake, cook, knit and spend
much time with her family especially her grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Blanche loved her two cats, Lurk and Chase. She is
survived by sons, Alex, Country Harbour Lake; Wade(Bruce), Lantz;
Carl(Jacqueline), Country Harbour Lake; daughter, Marsha(Keith), New
Glasgow; grandchildren, Christopher(Erin), Brad(Cleo), Luke(Megan),
Brooke(Willie), great grandchildren, Nash and Jaxin, sister,
Joan(Lynn) Smith, Wellington, Ontario; several nieces and nephews. She
was predeceased by her husband, Arthur, brothers, Vernon Bruce,
Vincent in infancy, half brother, Vernon. A private family
graveside service will take place in Evergreen Cemetery, Cross Roads
Country Harbour. Family flowers only please. In lieu of flowers,
memorial donations may be made to the Evergreen Cemetery Fund. Funeral
arrangements are under the dignified and compassionate care of G.W.
Giffin Funeral Home Ltd., 17545 Highway 316, Country Harbour. Online
