It is with a heavy heart that the family of Beverley Maude Mounce announces her passing on February 25, 2017. To everyone who met her she was known to have a big heart, a gentlest disposition and a love for life. A social butterfly from the beginning to the end, she was always up for a good chat and a cup of coffee or glass of wine. Throughout her life she played many rolls: a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother (AKA GG) and friend. Each roll she took great pride in and had the ability to show love and affection to everyone she came across. Born on May 28, 1927 in Victoria BC, her childhood days laid the foundation of her loving characteristics. She was raised on her parent’s berry farm in Central Saanich with her four siblings Arthur, Corrine, Mel, and Peter where she learned the importance of family and the support you get from them. She married her husband Gordon, love of her life, in 1947 and they had two boys Dennis and Gerry. They have moved around the province but Brentwood Bay was where they would raise their family. Her home was always welcoming and she always loved to host and have everyone over for family dinners and celebrations. When her sons married their wives Brenda and Leona she welcomed them with open arms, which resulted in having them become her closes friends. She became a grandmother to her six grandchildren and it was this roll where her kind and loving personality truly shined. She was always willing to lend a hand and jump in. She lived life to the fullest whether it was Fridays with the bowling team, cruises with her sister, trips with her children and grandchildren, or summer months spent RVing in Parksville. She was always was up for anything and loved to talk about the next time she would see you. Her biggest joy in life was watching her family continue to grow and was there for them as a supportive voice. From a childhood of picking berries on the farm to the proud roll of GG to her six great grandchildren, she leaves this world showing us life is a joyous big adventure with lots of angels along the way.
The family welcomes you to a celebration of Beverley’s life that will be held on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC starting at 2:00 pm. Condolences may be offered to the family below.
