Service Details
Betty Pears passed away peacefully on October 9, 2017 at the Northcott Care Center in Ponoka at the age of 97 years. She is survived by her five sons and two daughters: Peter (Betty), Berna (Arleigh) Cook, Ron, Hazel (Gerald) Matichuk, Jim (Linda), Mike (Laura), and Charlie (Brenda); daughter-in-law Mae Pears; son-in-law John Spezowka; as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, three sisters and many nieces and nephews. Betty was predeceased by her husband Ben, an infant son Jack, daughter Carol Spezowka, son Gerry, daughter-in-law Laura Pears, six brothers and two sisters. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, October 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at the Ponoka Funeral Home. Memorial donations are gratefully accepted to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta.
