Betty MacDougall

Betty MacDougall August 21, 1938 – March 29, 2017

Betty Ann MacDougall (Hicks) passed away peacefully, after a long struggle with her health, at the Moncton City Hospital on Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at the age of 78. She was the wife of Gordon MacDougall. Born in Moncton on August 21, 1938; she was the daughter of the late Murdock and Eleanor Hicks.
Besides her loving husband of 58 years, she will be greatly missed by her children: Carole Boudreau (Marcel) from Dieppe and David MacDougall from Penticton B.C.; two grandchildren: Kenneth and Anika; four siblings: Ruby Piercy (late Mick), Joan MacKay (late Stewart), Kenneth Hicks (Donna) and Beverly Conrad (Paul) as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is predeceased by two siblings: Newton Garland and Ruth Bishop.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Fair Haven Funeral Home Chapel (1177 Salisbury Road, Moncton) on Saturday, April 8 at 11am, followed by a reception. Internment will take place at a later date.
The family would like to thank Dr. Christine Telfer for all the great care provided throughout the years, the staff at the Moncton City Hospital as well as the many WeCare homecare providers she has had over the years.
In memory of Betty, a donation to Friends of the Moncton City Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
