Betty Lou Ford – 1956-2017

It is with deep sadness to announce the passing of Betty Lou
Ford, age 60. Betty passed peacefully, surrounded by her family on
March 19, 2017 in the Palliative Care Unit of Community Hospital,
O’Leary.
The people in Betty’s life were truly loved. She
leaves behind her loving husband and best friend John; her two sons
Troy and Johnny (Kendra), brothers Gerald (Betty), Eric (Diana), Ernie
(Linda), Curtis (Terry), sisters Doreen (Doug), Marie (Jack) and
Mildred (Pierre).
Betty is also survived by her mother in law Mary Ford,
brothers and sisters in law Wallace (Cindy) Ford, Brian (Roxanne)
Ford, Nancy (Wendell), Michael (Tracey) and Beverley (Stewart) Getson,
many other in laws, nephews, nieces and honorary daughter
Christine.
Our world has lost a wonderful woman. A woman who was our
rock, full of laughter, love and the most welcoming hugs. Betty lived
60 years doting on her family and enjoyed life to the fullest.
She leaves a legacy of her very kind heart that will always
bring a smile to our faces, even in our time of grief.
Betty was predeceased by her parents Gerald & Edith
Hanlan and her son Christopher. Betty will look forward to seeing
these special souls once she reaches heaven.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home & Chapel,
O’Leary with visiting hours Tuesday from 6-9 pm. Funeral
service in the Chapel at 2 p.m on Wednesday. Interment in Victoria
West People’s Cemetery in the spring.
Donations may be made in Betty’s memory to
Community Hospital, O’Leary, Palliative Care Unit. We will
be forever grateful for the care given to Betty during her time of
need.
A limb has
fallen from the family tree that says, “Grieve not for
me.”
Remember the best times, the laughter, the song.
The good life I lived while I was strong.
