Betty Jane Steele (Labobe) – 1948-2017

The death occurred at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital,
Charlottetown on Saturday, June 3, 2017 of Elizabeth “Betty”
Jane Steele of Charlottetown and Lennox Island aged 69, wife of the
late Terry Steele. Born in Tyne Valley, daughter of the late
Frank and Matilda (Knockwood) Labobe.
Mother to Sheila Collicutt (Owen), Lennox Island; Hubert
“Hub” Sark (Victoria Perry), East Bideford; Cindy Bernard
(Darren), Charlottetown and Kim Sark, Bideford. Grandmother to Amanda
and Daniel Annand, Tia Levi-Lewis, Kayla , Justin, Darryl-Lynn,
Nathan, Brittany, Tanner and her great grandchildren Breeanna
Ramsay, Hunter Annand, Riley Bernard, Keira Bernard, Shay Sark, Zanya
Gallant, Austin Lewis and Ophelia Lewis. Brother to Hardy, Walter and
Earl Labobe. Betty is also survived by the father of her children
Hubert Sark Sr.
Predeceased by her parents, husband Terry, brothers and
sisters Pearlene, Anita, Roger, Lillian, Mary Jane, Donnie, Raymond,
Muriel, Joe Pat, George Elmer, James, Peter, Stephen and
Edward.
Resting at Ferguson Tyne Valley Funeral Chapel with visiting
hours Monday 2-4 & 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday, June 6 at
St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church, Lennox Island First Nation at 2pm.
Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
