Bethany MacKay – 1950-2017

The death occurred at the Palliative Care Unit,
Community Hospital, O’Leary on Sunday, September 10, 2017 of
Bethany MacKay of Bloomfield, aged 67 years, beloved wife of John
Cousins. Born on April 10, 1950 in Pleasant Valley , daughter of
Audrey (Stevenson) MacKay, Charlottetown and the late Donald B.
MacKay.
Loving mother to John Andrew (Pauline) Halifax, N.S and David
(Shannon Jones) Oakville ON. Cherished grandmother to Will and
Clara.
Bethany is also survived and sadly missed by her sisters
Shirley MacKay (Wayne Cox), Calgary AB.; Anne MacKay (Wayne Barrett),
St. Catherines, PE and brother John MacKay (Eva Mah), Calgary AB;
sisters and brothers in law Marion Thomson, Roseville, PE; Thane
(Ruth) Cousins, Toronto, ON; Warren (Barbara) Cousins, Prince George,
B.C.; Carol Thomson, Calgary, AB; Donna Thomson, Prince George B.C.;
Barbara (Fred) Eagle, Prince George. BC; George (Beth) Cousins,
Campbellton PE; Rosalie (Trevor) Webb, Woodstock, PE ; Aunts Shirley
(Balfour) Read, Summerside PE; Isabel (Lorne) Cousins, Summerside PE
and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bethany was predeceased by her father Donald, father and
mother in law Elbridge & Mary Cousins, brothers in law Bert,
Alvin and Leigh Thomson.
Resting at Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, O’Leary
with visiting hours on Wednesday, from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral
will be held on Thursday at 11:00 am in the chapel. Interment to
follow in Campbellton United Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers in memory of Bethany, donations to O’Leary
Community Health Foundation (Palliative Care Unit)or Campbellton
United Church Cemetery would be appreciated.
