Obituary of Berthe Touzin
It is with peaceful hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Berthe Touzin (nee Marion) on Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Actionmarguerite St. Boniface, at the age of 98. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Gustave (July 1986) and a daughter in infancy. She will be fondly remembered by her three daughters and two sons and their families: Yvette (Rene Fillion), Diane (Michel Papillon), Gisele (Linda), Raymond (Blanche Marion), Denis (Karen Hiebert) along with 12 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, one great great-grandson and numerous nieces and nephews. She also leaves to mourn one brother, Roland Marion and four sisters, Rita Mullen, Jeannette St. Amant, Lucette Boulet and Huguette Sabourin. Berthe was predeceased by her parents, Simeon and Rose-Anna Marion, two brothers, and six sisters.
She was born September 25, 1919 in St. Jean Baptiste, Manitoba and spent her married life working ardently on the farm. She was a member of La Ligue Catholique and was an active member of the parish. We will always remember our mother singing and enjoying life. Mom certainly had the “joie de vivre”. She was kind, patient, compassionate, generous and a proud mom. Her strong faith always remained with her throughout her life.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the staff members for the excellent care and compassion they provided to our mother during her stay at Actionmarguerite. We are very grateful to our family and friends for their numerous visits. We were blessed to have a mom who loved each of us in such a special way.
Funeral mass will be celebrated in St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 am. Eulogy will be at 10:45 am.
