It is with great sadness that the family of the late
BERTHA
WITHERS of Frenchman’s Cove announces her passing
at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on Sunday, October
8th, 2017, at the age of
92. Leaving to mourn with fond and
loving memories are sons, Alphonsus Power (Miriam) of
Frenchman’s Cove, John Power (Bertha) of
Frenchman’s Cove, Walter Power (Gennie) of Medicine Hat, AB,
William Power (Carolyn) of Marystown; daughters, Mary Thorne (Joseph)
of King City, ON, Olive Slaney (Raymond) of Buckhorn, ON, Theresa
Drake of Marystown, Veronica Herridge (William) of
Frenchman’s Cove, Marie Kelly (Norbert) of Little Bay,
Patricia Power (Nicholas) of North York, ON; 18 grandchildren; 18
great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; plus a large circle
of extended family and friends.
She was
predeceased by first husband, William Power, second husband, Nicholas
Withers; grandson, Craig Power; 3 sisters and 4 brothers..
The Withers Family will be accepting visitors at St.
Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church in Frenchman’s Cove on
Monday, October 9th, beginning at 7:00 p.m.;
Tuesday, October 10th, all day; from where the Mass
of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, October
11th, at 10:00
a.m. Interment will follow at the
Roman Catholic Cemetery in Frenchman’s
Cove.
In Bertha’s
memory donations may be made to St. Joan of Arc Roman Catholic Church
or flowers gratefully accepted.
