Bertha Henry
Bertha Marie Henry passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at Crocus Court Personal Care Home, Roblin, at the age of 89. Bertha was born on June 12, 1928 at Boggy Creek, MB to Peter and Claire (Lavalle) Lafournaise. She is survived by her children Lorna Paul, Marty Henry, and Norman Henry; grandchildren Michelle, Bradley, Lyndsey, Brenda, Tracey, Ryan; sister Fern Paul; numerous great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other extended family. Bertha was predeceased by her husband Philip Henry; daughter Marlene Carriere; granddaughter Tana; numerous brothers, sisters, and extended family. Bertha loved being at home taking care of the household. She loved to garden, pick berries, and cook. She was an exceptionally hard worker. To relax, she enjoyed Thursday evening bingo in Yorkton, and would spend the day getting ready for the evening out. She will be missed by all those whose lives she touched.
A Celebration of Life was held at the Metis Centre in Boggy Creek on Monday July 10 at 1:00 PM. Michelle and Brad delivered the eulogy and she was laid to rest next to her husband in San Clara Parish Cemetery.
