Co-founder (with his wife) of KB Homes has left us to seek adventure in the next dimension. Bert was born in Holland and immigrated to Canada in June 1965 after completing his military service.
Survived by his wife Karen Raven, children, Anneke (Todd Ferretti), Ian (Leigh Edgar), Sonya (Doug Shiller), Christopher (Gillian Walker) and grandchildren Cameron, Trevor, Eli, Jamie, Tomek and Duncan and by his sisters Anneke (Jan Dekker), Lydia (Frank Lowitt), Tineke (Cees van Ommeren), Marjo (Frits van Alebeek) and their children in USA, Holland and Australia. A Celebration of Life will be held at the JAMES REID RECEPTION & CELEBRATION CENTRE, 1900 John Counter Boulevard, on Wednesday, September 6 between the hours of 2:00 and 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Kidney Cancer Canada or Dying with Dignity Canada are appreciated.
