Bernie White – 2017

Bernie White
Sydney Mines
We are deeply saddened to announce the sudden passing of Bernie White, age 71 of Sydney Mines formerly from Ontario where he was born and worked with the Department of Fisheries.
Bernie was a kind gentle loving soul who considered everybody he knew, a friend. Bernie always acknowledged a big “Thank You” to everybody who bestowed kindness on him no matter how big or small the gesture was. Bernie was always so appreciative.
Bernie loved spending his days at the North Sydney Mall making friends and doing crossword puzzles.
To Brenda Gillis ( Special friend to Bernie) to the staff at Sobeys and to the Northside Homemakers, Thank You for always treating Bernie with patience, kindness and respect.
Bernie is survived by his main caregiver, Glenda Bailey and her son Michael who for the past 30 years have been Bernie’s family creating a loving home for him, assisting him with his daily living and who nurtured and cared for Bernie with such kindness, unselfishness and love. Bernie will be missed by his big extended family of Glenda’s sisters aunts and uncles and the many people who came to know Bernie especially his little buddy Toby.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held Thursday June 22, 2017, 6-7 pm followed by a service at 7pm in J.M.Jobes Funeral Home, Sydney Mines.
Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family at jmjobesfuneralhome.com
