Obituary for Bernice Marguerite McPherson (Doerr)
Bernice passed away peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital on Friday, November 10, 2017. Born in Brodhagen, Ontario on January 5, 1933, Bernice Marguerite McPherson (née Doerr) of Seaforth, was in her 85 year.
Beloved wife of the late Hugh R. McPherson (April 27, 2009). Cherished mother of the late of Debby Somerville (October 19, 2011), Heather and Mark Rogan of Hanover, Jeffrey and Pam McPherson of Granton, Greg and Tracey McPherson and Tracy and Terry McPherson-Zachar, all of Exeter. Loving Grandma of Jeremy, Jamie and Alysha Somerville, Anastasia, Caleb and Isaiah Rogan, Vanessa, Samantha and Jenna McPherson, and Danika and Tristan McPherson-Zachar. Special Great-Grandma of Samuel, Ella and Skye Consitt, Liam Sommerville and Weston Siddall. Also survived by her dear friend Les Leonhardt, siblings Laurene (Jim), Joanne (Clare), Bob (Marilyn), Betty, and Kathy (Gerry). Bernice will also be missed by her many nieces, nephews and friends.
Predeceased by her husband Hugh, daughter Debby, parents Jeremiah and Freida (née Messerschmidt) Doerr, and her sisters Jean, Ruby and Hazel (Alvin).
Visitation will be held at Egmondville United Church, 26 Kippen Rd., Egmondville, on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 12 noon until the time of Bernice’s funeral service at 2 p.m. Interment at Maitlandbank Cemetery followed by a reception in the church hall.
