Bernice passed away at the Rockyview General Hospital on January 17, 2017 at the age of 78 years with loving family at her side. She was born in Didsbury, Alberta the daughter of Fred and Alma Befus and lived on the family farm until she went to Edmonton to complete high school at Concordia College. Bernice then moved to Calgary where she spent many years working as a Sales person before retiring at age 65 to enjoy retirement. She was the loving mother of Brad Thompson (Randy Booth) and Carolyn (Dan) Stoochnoff. She will be missed by her granddaughter Emily Stoochnoff, her brother Gerald (Lynne) Befus, sister Norma (Arney) Falconer and close friend Marion Wyman, all of Calgary. Bernice was predeceased by her parents Fred and Alma Befus, sister Marilyn Zubick, brother-in-law Russ Zubick and infant sister June. A private family service will be held in Didsbury this Spring.
