2017-06-03
On June 3, 2017 at the age of 40, Jeremy slipped away peacefully, surrounded by family, in the Palliative Care Unit of the Aberdeen Hospital in New Glasgow.
Jeremy will live on in his sons Morgan, Jacob and Clayton. Jeremy had phenomenal support from his aunt, Janice Ross (Donnie), his father Jim and Susan. He is survived by grandmothers Joy McKenzie and Joan Richters; his siblings John, Shyla and Meghan; his aunts Jacqueline Spears (Bruce) and Joselyn Diamond (Paul). He is also survived by his father-in -law Dave Peters(Mary) and sisters-in -law Ellen Rutledge (Kevin) and Dawn Peters (Aaron Smith). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and many cousins whom he loved dearly.
He was predeceased by his mother, Judith; grandfathers, John McKenzie, Sonny Bell and Aunt Josephine Welsh (Delbert), as well as his son Joseph.
Jeremy was blessed with a huge combined family who all visited regularly. Jeremy’s many friends stood by him from day one; no matter how hard it was they were by his side doing anything they could to make sure he had everything he needed.
Visitation will be held at Eagles Funeral Home in Westville on June 7 from 2-4 and 7-9. The funeral service will be held on June 8 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Stellarton. A reception will follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
Sweet gentle man, drift softly into the night.
We are all here loving you into the light.
Sweet gentle man, drifting softly out of sight.
