Obituary of Beatrice Meikle
On Tuesday, February 7, 2017 Mom was released from her pain. She died peacefully at St. Mary’s Hospital, Kitchener at the age of 93.
Born in Nokomis Saskatchewan, she moved with her family to Nova Scotia and always considered that her home. She graduated from the St. John General School of Nursing in 1945.
Mom was predeceased by her parents, Ezra and Bernice (Rogers) Potter; four siblings; her husband, (William) Norman Meikle (1999) and her son Neil William Meikle (2011).
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Nadine and Marlin Gingrich, grandsons Noel (Sarah) and Bryn (Becky) and great-grandson Everett Gingrich; her brother Rae (Roberta) Potter; sisters-in-law Betty Ritcey, Eula Smith and Edith Cupidio, along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends are invited to share their memories of Leah with her family during a memorial reception at the Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo, on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 6 – 8 p.m.
