Barbara Williams of Albert
Bridge passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a
short, but aggressive illness Thursday, July
27th, 2017, at the Cape Breton
Regional Hospital, Sydney.
Born September 18, 1946, in
Carlisle, England, she was the daughter of the late Rev. Harry L. and
Winifred (Vass) McCall. She was predeceased by her
sisters, Hillary Alexander and Nicola McCall (in
infancy).
Barbara is survived by her devoted husband of almost
48 years, Ian Williams, their sons, Anthony (Jennifer), Coxheath and
Mark (Shauna), Eastern Passage; sister, Christine McCall, Westmount;
brother, Neil (Angela), Edmonton; brother-in-law, John Alexander,
Edmonton; nephews, Richard, David and Ken Alexander, Terry
McCall, and niece, Shannon McCall-Tynski. Barbara is also survived by her
grandchildren, Matthew, Avery and Olivia, Coxheath and
Mia and Callie, Eastern Passage, who provided her with
endless joy and pride.
In her early years, Barbara
lived in Germany, Canada and the UK, before eventually immigrating to
Canada with her husband and family in
1979. Barbara
will be remembered for her active lifestyle and great love of animals,
in particular her love for her dog, Jake and horses, Striker and
Scamp, who she cared for daily up until her
illness.
A Celebration of Life in Barbara’s honor
will be held at a later date.

the An Cala Palliative Care Unit of the Cape Breton Regional
Hospital or the SPCA.
