ARCHER, Barbara Sharon Lee – Passed peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, on December 18, 2017 at Northumberland Hills Hospital, Cobourg at the age of 70 years. The daughter of Herbert and Edith (nee Siddons) Hewton, Sharon was the beloved wife of Bev Archer for the past 45 years. Dear mother of Sarah Archer, at home, and Jaimie (Tammy) Archer, Cobourg. Loving grandmother of Ethan & Ryan Archer. Sister of Stan (Cindy) Hewton, Omemee. Predeceased by her sister Gail (Bob) Goudey, Nova Scotia. Sister-in-law of Murray (Jean) & Ross (the late Ivynne) Archer, both of Cobourg. Sharon started her career as a secretary at The Co-operators Insurance Company, Peterborough and Port Hope and later worked for Mathews Conveyor Belt, Port Hope and Curtis Products, Cobourg. After their children arrived, Sharon decided to remain at home and see to the nurturing of her family. Friends will be received at Fellowship Baptist Church, 469 Elgin St West, Cobourg, on Wednesday, December 20, 2017 from 2-4 and from 7-9 pm. A Celebration of Sharon’s Life will be held at Fellowship Baptist Church on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 1 pm, Pastor Jeff Bell officiating. A reception will be held at the church following interment at Cobourg Union Cemetery. Those wishing may make a memorial donation, by cheque, to The Gideons International in Canada or the charity of your choice.
