Barbara Marion Seheult – 1939-2017

Barbara Marion Seheult
1939-2017
Barbara died peacefully on March 17 at the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Regional Hospital. She leaves her husband David, son Peter
(Stephanie), daughter Laura, granddaughter Julianne and
Barbara’s sister Kathleen.
Daughter of the late Horace and Marion Webb, Barbara was born
in Halifax in 1939 and lived there until enrolling in the McGill
Physiotherapy program. After graduation, she worked in that profession
in Fredericton. In 1963, Barbara and David were married and when Peter
and Laura were born, she devoted her full attention to her family.
Being a mother was a role Barbara relished. She found creative ways to
ensure that her family enjoyed learning, travel to interesting
countries and good times together. Later on, she found the same joy in
being grandmother to Julianne. Between the roles of mother and
grandmother, Barbara took pleasure in being part of the Fredericton
sailing community and the bluewater sailing adventures she and David
shared with their friends.
In accord with Barbara’s wishes, there will be no
funeral service. On April 8, there will be a celebration of
Barbara’s life at the Delta Hotel in Fredericton,
Governor’s Room, from 3 to 5 p.m.
Barbara received outstanding care from her doctors and
nurses. McAdams Funeral Home (www.mcadamsfh.com) can assist with
communications or support to organizations such as the Dr. Everett
Chalmers Hospital Foundation or the Fredericton SPCA in
Barbara’s memory.
