1943-2017
Barbara Joyce Mowbray, of Salisbury, NB passed
away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the
age of 73 years. Born in Moncton she was the daughter of the late
Chester and Irene (Chappell) Steeves. Barbara was a secretary with
District 2 School board, finishing her 20 + year career at
MacNaughton High School. She enjoyed the simple pleasures in life-
camping/travelling, progressing from tents to motorhome. Cooking and
quilting were only a couple of the things she was passionate about and
above all she loved time spent surrounded by her family and the people
she met whom she welcomed as her extended
family.
She is survived by her husband, Russell of 56 years; daughter
Lori-Ann (Derek) Woodworth of Hillsborough; sons Craig
(Connie), David (Kelli) , and Trevor (Paula) all of
Salisbury; sister Betty (Steven) Harrison of Riverview; brothers Ken
(Marilyn) and Greg (Fernande) Steeves both of
Riverview, sister-in-law Carolyn Steeves of
Riverview; seven
grandchildren, three great grandchildren, many cherished nieces,
nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Besides her parents she was predeceased by her brother Mac
Steeves.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Brothers &
Riverview Funeral Home on Sunday, May 21,2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm
and 6:00pm to 8:00pm.
The funeral service will be held at Tuttle Brothers and
Riverview Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, May 22, 2017 at
11:00 am with Rev. James Eagles officiating.
Donations in Barbara’s memory made to the Heart and Stroke
foundation or the Alzheimer’s Society would be appreciated by the
family.
