Barbara Helen Donaher
1949-2017
At the Charlotte County Hospital, St. Stephen NB on July 7, 2017,
Barbara Helen (Frost) Donaher, partner of Redman Leavitt of Upper
L’Etang NB. Born in Blacks Harbour NB on March 23, 1949, she was a
daughter of the late Everett Ira and Helen Rebecca (McCumber) Frost. A
loving partner, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, in
addition to her partner Redman, she is survived by her daughters:
Cathy (Marty) Mitchell of St. George NB and Laurie (Terry) Boyd of
Second Falls NB; grandchildren: Jason Donaher, Vanessa Mitchell and
Tyson Mitchell; great-grandchildren: Kayden, Colbie, Kaylee and Jase;
chosen family: Eileen (Terry) Shaw, Kelly Childs, Darren (Angela)
Leavitt, Allison (Carol) Leavitt, Judy (Stan) Whipple and Stacy
(Darren) Hanley; many chosen grandchildren and great-grandchildren;
several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Besides her parents, she
was predeceased by her sisters: Maxine McFarlane and Ann Anthony.
Prior to retirement, Barbara worked for 35 years for Connor’s Brother
in Blacks Harbour in several departments. She enjoyed spending time
with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren and welcomed
all into her home with open arms and a smile. She will be sadly missed
by her family and all who knew her.
There will be no visitation. A graveside service will be held at the
Second Falls Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of
flowers, donations to the Charlotte County Cancer in Barbara’s memory
would be greatly appreciated by the family.
