Baker, Marjorie Alma (née Trevors)

After a long illness, Alma died peacefully with her children at her side on Thursday, November 2, 2017. Mom’s care for the well-being of others shone through in all she did. Whether you were an old friend or total stranger, she always lit up the encounter with her warm and welcoming smile.
With her Miramichi charm and dedication, Alma was an active leader and passionate contributor to Mount Allison University (Class of ’55), Alliance Quebec, Beaconsfield High School, Beaconsfield United Church, the Liberal Party, her community at large and her numerous charitable causes. Above all, though, Mom loved her family.
Alma will be missed by her daughter Laurie (Ross), son Patrick (Louise), her beloved grandchildren Jennifer (Matt), Patrick and Trevor, her sister Loretta (Ted) of Bermuda, sister-in-law Marjorie of Mississauga, and her many extended family members and friends. We would like to thank the dedicated staff at the Ste. Anne’s Hospital for the gentle care they gave our mother until the end of her life.
A memorial service will be held at Beaconsfield United Church at 2 pm on Monday, November 27, 2017. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Doctors Without Borders or a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Voluntas (Voluntas.ca, 514-695-7979).
