Canobie, NB – Mrs. Avis Scott, 84, wife of the
late Irving V. Scott, of Canobie, passed away on Saturday March 18,
2017, at the Chaleur Regional Hospital, Bathurst, after a brief
illness.
Born in Canobie, she was the daughter of the late
Everett and Alice (Glendenning)
Daley.
She was a life member of the NB Women’s Institute,
the UCW and the Chaleur Evening
Stars.
Avis is survived by four children:
Valerie Berry (Ron) of Moncton, Irving Jr. (Shirley) and Andrew
(Audrey) both of Canobie and Randy (Candace) of
Riverview.
Seven grandchildren: Justin, Ryan, Jayme,
Meredith, Samuel, Heidi, Jenni and three great-grandchildren:
Céleste, Morgan and
Katelyn.
One sister, Alfreda Hladin (Jim) of Rexdale,
ON. Several nieces and
nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a sister, Neta and two
brothers, Gordon and
Alfred.
The family will receive relatives and friends on
Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Elhatton’s Funeral
Home (www.elhatton.com), Bathurst. Funeral Service will be
held on Tuesday March 21, 2017 at 2 p.m. from Central United Church in
Clifton. Donations in memory of Avis may be made to the
Central United Church or a charity of your choice.
