Obituary for Augusta “Gussie” Fearey (Johnson)
Gussie Fearey of Airdrie, Alberta passed away peacefully in her sleep following a brave battle with cancer on Sunday, October 1, 2017. Gussie was born Augusta Theresa Johnson on October 12, 1958, in Calgary, Alberta, where she was raised by her parents, Vernon and Winifred Johnson.
After high school, Gussie met her beloved, Gregino, and settled their growing family in Airdrie where they lovingly raised two daughters, Mazer and Magoo. Gussie possessed a love of the world which she expressed through dance and song as well as a passion for all things in the kitchen, sewing room, and on the book shelf.
Gussie was whimsical and free spirited with a beautiful smile who radiated a kind and positive energy to all who crossed her path.
Gussie will be dearly missed by her husband, Greg Fearey, of 31 years and their daughters, Amy and Mia, Sir Don and her niece Ladybird. She is predeceased by her parents and older sister Verna Domier as well as several nephews and a niece. She will also be warmly remembered by her brother John (Terry) Johnson, sister Edith (Gordon) Kolish and brother Randy Johnson as well as numerous relatives and friends.
We will forever keep your incense lit.
