Obituary for Audrey Smit
Peacefully, surrounded by family at Bluewater Health, Sarnia, Audrey Jean Smit (nee Atchison) of Wyoming, passed away at the age of 75. Beloved wife of the late Al Smit (2015). Loving mother Alvin Smit of Wyoming. Cherished grandmother to Katie, Travis, Trent and Todd. Loved sister to George (Doreen) Atchison, Pauline (the late Wayne) Scouler, Dorothy (the late Bob) Bloomfield and Phyllis (the late Dan) Kerrigan. Predeceased by her brother Bruce Atchison. She will be greatly missed by many in-laws, nieces and nephews. Audrey was magnetic; she made everyone feel as if they were the most special and unique person in the room. She loved animals and will be greatly missed by her cherished dogs, Chico and Casper. The family would like to thank the ICU Staff at Bluewater Health for their care and compassion. A private service was held. Interred in Oil Springs Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made by cheque to the Heart and Stroke Foundation (www.heartandstroke.ca).
