1933-2017
It is with heavy hearts the family of Audrey Helen (Lockhart)
Kay, wife of the late Walter Kay, announce her passing at the St. John
St. Stephen Nursing Home on Monday, August 28, 2017. Born in Saint
John, NB on September 8, 1933 she was a daughter of the late Percy and
Sadie (Fisher) Lockhart. Audrey provided childcare for many years in
the community of Welsford and volunteered at the Welsford Elementary
School.
Audrey is survived by her four children: Glen Kay, Judy
(Bill) Asselstine, Brian Kay and Lori Parker (Tim Justason); brothers:
Ronald, David, Gordon (Fern) and Kenny Lockhart; sisters: Marjorie
Cummings, Gloria Furlong, Mary Breau and Rosie Lewis; grandchildren:
Jason (Sarah) and Amanda Kay, Billy Joe (Maggie) and Gordon Legacy,
Brandon, Tyler and Connor Kay, and Adam (Caitlin), Cameron and Marisa
Parker; great grandchildren: Tayler, Arianna, Quinn, Tessa, Rhett,
Mason, Kelsey, Riley and Bryson; and many extended family
members.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased
by her son Gordon, son in law Scott Parker, granddaughter Misty Dawn
Lord brothers Walter, Dougie and Russel, and sister in
infancy.
Resting at Brenan’s Bay View Funeral
Home, 1461 Manawagonish Rd., Saint John West, NB
(634-7425) with visitation on Thursday, August 31, 2017
from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A memorial service will be held from
Brenan’s Bay View Chapel on Friday, September 1, 2017 at
11:00 AM with a potluck reception to follow. Interment will take place
in Welsford Valley Community Cemetery. For those who wish,
remembrances in memory of Audrey may be made to the
Alzheimer’s Society of NB or a charity of the
donor’s choice.
