1926-2017
Born April 12, 1926 passed away peacefully at Arbour Heights on December 28, 2017 with his loving family by his side. Beloved husband of Frankie (Dragan/Raymond) for 62 years. Cherished father of Ron (Margo) and Lisa. Loving grandfather of James Bird [Jessica) and proud Popi to his great-grandchildren Serenity, Alexis and Oliver. Predeceased by his parents, Alfred E. Bird and Magdalen Holding.
Predeceased by his sisters Stella Pullen and Agnes Wilson. Brother-in-law to William Raymond (Jennifer) and Geraldine VanDuinen (Bill, deceased). Proud uncle of Carol Mackenzie and Brian Wilson (Dianne), Peggy McIntrye. Loving uncle to many nieces and nephews and dearest friend of Beverly and Leonard Rose and their family, and will be missed by many other nieces and nephews and Bentley.
Cremation has been entrusted to the James Reid Crematorium. A visitation will be held Friday January 5, 2018 from 6pm until 8pm at the James Reid Funeral Home. Visitation will continue at 12pm until 12:50pm on Saturday January 6, followed by a service at 1pm in the James Reid Chapel. Everyone is invited to the reception centre for refreshments and memory sharing after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Society of KFLA or the Ontario Lung Association.
