Passed away at Joseph Brant Hospital, Burlington on Wednesday, December 28, 2016 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Eleanor Jean (nee Slobod). Loving father of Karen White (John Buday), Mark Mason (Rose), Lori Oldfield (late Ken), late John Mason (Nancy), Danny Mason (Michelle), Randy Mason (Ruth), and Todd Mason (Donna). Cherished Grandfather of Christopher Eriksen, Robyn Brown, Brendan Belzak, Jaime Mason, Gregory Mason, Ashley Mason, Chad Oldfield, Jordan Oldfield, Paul Mason, Laura Benson, Meaghan Mason, Ashley Mason, Sean Mason, Julianna Mason, Sarah Njoroge, Andrew Mason, Kevin Mason and Kristie Broadley. Cherished Great-Grandfather of Madison Eriksen, Quinnlyn Eriksen, Cody Brown, Shelby Madison, Kayla Rimmington, Caden Creighton, Tobin Mason, Lilly Creighton, Hailey Mason, Nicole Mason, Amelia Mason, Sophie Mason, Taylor Oldfield, Ella Oldfield, Marlee Oldfield, Brooklyn Oldfield, Julia Mason, Amelia Benson, Piper Benson, Amelia Mason, Jamie-Lynn Urqhart, Olivia Mason, and Aria Mason. Art will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Visitation at SMITH’S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line (one stoplight north of QEW), BURLINGTON, 905-632-3333 on Monday, January 2, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. where a Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. Reception to follow.
