Arnold Sampson – 2017

Arnold Sampson: husband of Nadine (McKay) of Bayside, NB.
Born – May 20th, 1930.Died – April 11th, 2017.
Predeceased by his parents Everett and Florence (Irwin) Sampson,
sisters Irma (Bobby Thompson), Cariene (Billie) (Lloyd Burnett), and
grandson Kyle Sampson, all of St. Andrews.
He is survived by his brother Eddie (Joyce) of Arnprior, Ontario; his
sons, Neil (Judy) of Fredericton, and Tom (Judy) of Rossland, B.C.;
his daughters, Holly Hood (Calvin) of Bayside, and Lisa Sampson of
Halifax.
Arnold has several grandchildren: Sarah, Jessica, Selena, Micah, Cara,
Aaron, Joshua, Caitlyn; and great-grandchildren Briana, Jordan, Rese,
Evan, Claire, Maverick, Lia, Ava, Willum, Oren, Joshua, Thomas, Emma,
Sophie, Hailey, Brynlee, with one more due any day now; several nieces
and nephews.
He was employed at the St. Andrews Dairy and at Conley’s Lobster,
before moving to Fredericton were he completed his CGA course. He
worked in Hartland, NB prior to his retirement from many years of work
for the province of PEI. He returned to his St Andrews home in 1994.
Over the years, Arnold was a town councillor, a curler, a golfer, a
woodworker, and an all-round handyman. He taught Sunday School
classes, and he was the world’s best Sudoku player.
A service will be held at Humphreys’ Funeral Home, St. Stephen,
on Saturday, April 15th, at 2:00PM. Visitation/reception to
follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Charlotte County Cancer
Society.
