Obituary for Armand Donais
A resident of Petrolia, and formerly of Edys Mills, ARMAND DONAIS passed away at St. Joseph’s Hospice in Sarnia on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at the age of 87. Born in Tilbury East Township, Armand was the son of the late Alfred and Helen (Goodreau) Donais. Beloved husband of Marie (nee St. Denis). Loving father of Roger (Alison) Donais of Cambridge, Anna Marie Donais of Petrolia, Rachelle (Leo) Denys of Pain Court, Ronald (Jackie) Donais of Petrolia and Len (Doris) Donais of Windsor. Armand was the grandfather of Grant, Samantha, Michelle, Rory, Kevan, Curtis, Sara and Julie, and the great-grandfather of 12. Beloved brother of Beatrice St. Denis, the late Lorraine Marchand (2014), Pauline Blain, Bertha Thibeault, the late Wilfred Donais (1996), Madeline Blain, Maurice Donais, Donald Donais, Rose Van Veen, the late Lorette Jackson (2016), Margaret Rivait and Florence Van Veen. Armand will be missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family. Visitors will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Sunday at the Needham-Jay Funeral Home, Petrolia. Parish Prayers will be offered at 3:45 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Philips Parish, King St., Petrolia on Monday, June 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will be in Mount Calvary Cemetery at a later date. It is requested that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Joseph’s Hospice (www.stjosephshospice.ca), the Canadian Cancer Society (www.cancer.ca), or a charity of your choice.
