Annie Watson
1925-2017
Annie, beloved wife of the late Max E. Watson
passed away peacefully August 5, 2017 at the Tobique Valley Manor in
Plaster Rock.
Mum will be lovingly remembered by her children
Marlene Sellon (Wayne) of Dartmouth, Ruth Ann Hardy (Fred) of
Winnipeg, Robert Watson (Louise) of Undine as well as her 4
grandchildren, Dr. Barry Watson (Amy) of Saint John, Jill Hardy
(Frederic) of Winnipeg, Ashley Watson of Fredericton and Dr. Robert
Hardy (Monica) of Winnipeg.
Annie is also survived by brothers John
Hammond (Yvette), Bob Hammond, Ralph Hammond (Judy) and sister Shirley
DeMerchant. She was predeceased by brothers Earl, Raymond
and George Hammond.
Mum was the eldest of 8 children. She was born
in Perth Andover and the daughter of the late Margaret (Wark) and Bert
Hammond. Mum graduated from the Andover Grammar School as well as the
Saint John School of Nursing in 1946.
While celebrating the 19th of June festivities
in New Denmark, Mum met Dad and they were married in 1952. Together in
Undine, they raised their 3 children and farmed for 4
decades.
With declining health, Mum moved to the Tobique
Valley Manor in Plaster Rock. We wish to thank the many wonderful
staff at the Manor who watched over and cared for
Mum.
A private graveside service will
be held beside Dad at the Ortonville Baptist Church
Cemetery.
For those who wish, donations to the
Ortonville Baptist Church would be appreciated.
