Annie Kruk (nee Mazur) – 1917 – 2017

1917 ~ 2017
Mom passed away peacefully with her family by her side on September 17, 2017. She was born on May 1, 1917 and was born the eldest of fourteen children in Brokenhead, MB.
She leaves to mourn her passing daughters Violet Potter, Loraine Lysak, Adeline Gutscher (Wayne), son Lawrence (Isabel), son-in-law Ted Dahlin, sister Nettie and brothers Eddie, Steve, Harold, and John, many grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Harry, daughter Gloria, parents John and Katherine Mazur, brothers Paul, Fred, Peter, Anton, Charlie, and Henry, sisters Mary and Francis and sons-in-law Bill Potter and Jack Lysak.
Mom was a strong (her word “stubborn”) woman with a deep love for her family. Her greatest passion was her flower gardens and the many plants she grew in her home. There was always baking in Mom’s house to have with a cup of coffee. She loved having company. She never had a bad word to say about anyone and the person she laughed at most was herself. There was always a laugh, a giggle, a song or humming as she worked in her gardens or in her home.
She will be greatly missed. We will love you forever.
Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Saturday, September 23 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB. Prayers will be sung on Friday, September 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, Beausejour, MB. Interment will follow in the Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Annie’s memory to a charity of one’s choice.
