McLELLAND, Anne Louise-
Passed away peacefully at Riverside Glen, Guelph, on Thursday, September 14, 2017. Anne Louise (nee Buckholz) McLelland, in her 101st year, was the beloved Wife of the late Clifford McLelland (1989). She was the dear Mother of William of Port Elgin, Joanne of Guelph, Marilyn (Jack) Williams of Victoria, BC, Alan of Elora, John (Stephanie) of Guelph and Tom (Ruth) of Milton. Anne was the loved Grandmother of ten – Laura, Chris, Kate, Elizabeth ( Bess), Kevin, Ian, Rachael, Mathew, Tara and Sean and the Great-Grandmother of two – Noah and Maya.Anne’s roots were in the Prairies, and she was the dear Sister of the late Elsie McLelland, Edith Huber, Tillie Schmidt, Rudolph, Adolf, Ernest, Henry, William and Fred Buckholz, a Saskatchewan farm family whose parents emigrated from the Ukraine to Canada in early 1900. She was the much loved Aunt of Marguerite Schwanke, Connie Maguire and Norma Millard. Our very special thanks to the amazing staff at Riverside Glen who took such wonderful care of her over the past 11 years.
The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel,252 Dublin St. N., Guelph, on Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
A Memorial Service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. Anne’s ashes will be interred at Marymount Cemetery, Guelph, at a later date. As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by the family.
