Our cherished Mother, Anna Golab, said goodbye on July 7, 2017 at the blessed age of 84 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Tony Golab, she now joins him.
Anna was born on November 17, 1932 in High Prairie to Mike and Anna Kolibas. On June 25, 1949, she married Tony Golab and they were blessed with a family of their own. Anna was a graceful and lovely young lady, who dedicated herself to her family and home and was committed to raising her children, devoting her life to their well being and happiness. A gentle and kind woman with a humble and quiet nature, she will be greatly missed.
Lovingly remembered by her children: Michael, Joe and David Golab of Coleman, Betty Anne Loy of Vancouver and Dorrie (Terry) George of Fernie; her precious grandchildren, Roy George of Fernie and Tony Hakze of Calgary; her siblings, George Kolibas of Coleman, Mike (Joyce) Kolibas of Sechelt, BC and Mary (Albert) Fierlbeck of Ponoka; and extended family. She was predeceased in death by her brother John (Alice) Kolibas.
Special thanks to Michael and Joe, who cared for her for many years at home and who visited almost daily when she needed extended care. Big thanks to staff at Crowsnest Pass Continuing Care Centre for their compassionate care.
In accordance to Anna’s humble nature, a private family gathering will be held at a future date.
