LeBLANC, Anna Adèle – age 98, Lower Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 22, 2017 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born November 28, 1918 in Plymouth, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Laura (Bourque) LeBlanc. Anna was a homemaker and was a veteran of the second World War, having served in the Royal Canadian Air Force. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch No. 155 Wedgeport and a member of the Wedgeport New Horizons where she enjoyed playing cards. She also enjoyed playing bingo and line dancing with Seniors Kickin’ Country. Anna is survived by her two sons, Loran LeBlanc, Lower Wedgeport and Valois (Heather) LeBlanc, Kamloops, BC, as well as by grandchildren, Chrissy, Tyler, Shawna and Rachelle and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by sisters, Mabel VanTassel, Plymouth and Regina Myers, Eastern Passage and a brother Lovette (Pauline) LeBlanc, Plymouth. Aside from her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Theodore LeBlanc, as well as by a brother, Eddie, and sisters, Janet, Cecilia, Margaret, Blanche and Rosa. Cremation has taken place and visitation will take place from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, November 1 at H.M. Huskilson’s Funeral Home, Wedgeport, with a Royal Canadian Legion Service at 7:30, followed by prayers at 8 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, November 2 from Saint Michael’s Church, Wedgeport with interment to follow in the parish cemetery.
