Ann O’Grady

Ann O’Grady ~ Peacefully, with her family by her side, Mrs. Annie Marie (Walter) O’Grady of Listowel passed away at Listowel Memorial Hospital on Thursday, April 13, 2017, in her 88th year.
Beloved wife of the late Clare O’Grady (2004). Loving mother of Denis and Terri O’Grady of Kitchener, Pat O’Grady of Listowel, Mary and Dave Koehler of St. Agatha, and Barb and Steve Cachia of Waterloo. Grandmother of Dwayne, Rob, Samantha, and Hannah, and great-grandmother of Paige and Liam.
Cherished sister of Betty Furlong of Elmira, and lovingly remembered by her sisters-in-law Patricia O’Grady, and Doreen O’Grady, both of Listowel, and her many nieces and nephews.
Ann was predeceased by her parents Bernard and Ottilia (Imhof) Walter, and by her grandson Douglas Loyer.
A devout woman of faith, Ann was a member of the CWL and served as treasurer for many years. She enjoyed travelling, especially to Germany to visit relatives. Puzzles, playing cards, bingo, and birds of all kinds brought joy and fun to her life.
Visitation will be held at the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel on Monday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. with prayers at 1:30 p.m.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated from St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Listowel on Tuesday, April 18th at 11:00 a.m. with reception to follow.
Interment in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Hesson.
Memorial donations to St. Joseph’s Building Fund or Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
