Andrew Paul Parrish – 47, of
Kentville, passed away Tuesday, December 5, 2017 in Kings Regional
Rehabilitation Centre, Waterville, Kings County. Born in Kentville, he
was a son of Doris Walsh, Evergreen Home for Special Care, Kentville
and the late Allison Parrish. Andrew loved music, wrestling and floor
hockey. He participated in several Special Olympic Games and was a
graduate of the Nova Scotia Youth Training Centre. He then spent 29
years at Bonny Lea Farm, where he enjoyed the work, especially in the
barns. In addition to his mother, he is survived by three sisters,
Sharon (James) Pineo, Upper Canard; Marlene Andrews (Bruce Wood),
Kentville; Elaine (Errol “Nickey”) MacNutt, Pereau;
three brothers, Gary (Cindy) Parrish, North Alton; Larry (Katherine)
Parrish, Halifax; Vincent (Valerie) Parrish, North Alton; several
nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until the
time of the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2017 in
the White Family Funeral Home, Kentville, Reverend Virginia DeAdder
officiating. Burial will take place in the Elm Grove Cemetery, Steam
Mill. Donations in memory may be made to Bonny Lea Farm. Funeral
arrangements have been entrusted to the White Family Funeral Home and
Cremation Services, Kentville.
