McKnight, Andrew Stanley “Don” … Passed away
peacefully at Fairview Mennonite Home, Cambridge, on Sunday January
22, 2017 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his first wife Frances
McKnight (1994) and his second wife Eleanor Marcy-McKnight (2014).
Cherished father of Ron (Kathryn) McKnight, Jan (Yvan) Laurin and Faye
McKnight. Proud grandfather of Taryn (Sy), Michelle (Steve), Jonathon
(Cassandra), Amber and Alexandra and great-grandfather of Olivia and
Isla, with one on the way “Nugget”. Don will also be
sadly missed by his sister-in-law Eleanor Fisher, as well as his
nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Predeceased by his
parents Andrew and Thelma McKnight and his sisters Dorothy Ego and
Marion Reeve. Don was a longtime resident and farmer in Flamborough
(Beverly Township) and a devoted member of Kirkwall Presbyterian
Church. Resting at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St., Cambridge,
where family and friends will be received on Thursday January 26, 2017
from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral Services will be conducted at
Kirkwall Presbyterian Church, 1545 Kirkwall Rd., Hamilton
(Flamborough), on Friday January 27, 2017 at 11 a.m. Interment will
be held at Kirkwall Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations
may be made to Kirkwall Presbyterian Church or Fairview Mennonite
Home.
