Obituary for Andrew Grodzinski
Andrew (Andy) Casimir Grodzinski of Richmond Hill (and formerly of King City) Ontario, died on October 7, 2017 at home with his family by his side.
In his 77th year, Andy stoically faced cancer and bravely left us with his strength and resolve. He will be remembered as a caring and thoughtful man who cherished family and friends.
Andy was born in the west end of Toronto. He overcame childhood polio and graduated from Runnymede Collegiate being active in the basketball and football programs. He earned a BSc degree in 1964 from the University of Toronto and played on the Varsity Blues Football team. He went on to a career in the Pharmaceutical then the Real Estate Industries.
Andy always enjoyed a good card game, whether it was Poker, Bridge or teaching his Grandchildren Cribbage with the rules according to Hoyle.
Andy is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Heather Irene (Hopkins), his son Stephen and his wife Lisa, his son Kyle and his wife Deanne, his Grandchildren Julia and Jordan, Abigayle and Allyse and by his brother Jan and his partner Carmel.
He was predeceased by his parents Casimir Grodzinski and Wanda (Staniewska).
In keeping with Andy’s wishes, there will be no Visitation or Service.
Memorial gifts in Andy’s memory can be made to “Lions Club Camp Kirk Foundation”.
