The family announces with sadness his death in Sturgeon Falls, Saturday, March 11th, 2017 at the age of 78 years. Son of the late Émile Montpellier and of the late Isola (née Rhéaume) Montpellier. Cherished husband of Jeanne Montpellier (née Côté) of Verner. Loving father of Lynne Montpellier (Kevin Morley) of Chelmsford, Luc Montpellier (Jessica Reid) of Toronto and to Jeanne’s children, Dominique Brais (Michel Godin), Chantale Bolt (Neil) both of Ottawa, Sonia Rogers (Adam) of Edmonton and Andrée Brais (Eric Simard) of Rigaud QC. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Véronique and Brendan Morley, Sophie Montpellier, Sophie and Samuel Burt, Nicola and Manika Simard. Loving brother of Patrick (Georgette) and Gaston (Marlene) both of Chelmsford, Fernand (Patricia) of L’Orignal and Yvette Bélanger of Azilda. Predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Noëlla Lacelle, Antoinette Vaillancourt, Vica De Grammont, Roger, Laurier, Rodolphe and Oscar (Paulette Montpellier of Chelmsford). Family will receive relatives and friends at St. Jean-Baptiste Church, Verner, Saturday, March 25, 2017 after 10 am. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11 am. Donations to a charity of choice would be appreciated. (Cheques only).
