The death of Alta Hazel (Brown) Hallett occurred on Friday, October 6,
2017 at the Carleton Manor, Woodstock. Born March 22, 1923 in Hartland
she was the daughter of the late Charles and Addie (Hatfield) Mean.
She was also predeceased by her 2 husbands, Seldon Brown and Donald
Hallett; 6 siblings, Ralph, Ray, Gladys, Marion, Betty and
Glenna.
Alta is survived by her 4 children, Villa Faulkner (Woodrow), Seldon
Brown (Sharon), Marian Parkinson (Lewis) and Yvonne Forsythe (Clint);
8 grandchildren, Angela Wilson (Tim), Andrea Cole (Greg), Michelle
Parkinson, Darin Forsythe (Lisa), Justin Brown (Margaret), Stephanie
Briggs (Adon), Aaron Faulkner and Todd Faulkner; 8 great
grandchildren, Alicia, Joshaua Cole (Brittany), Amanda Rankin (John),
Megan Wilson, Jesse Wilson, Madison Brown, Hudson Brown and Spencer
Faulkner; 4 great great grandchildren, Hannah, Cole, Landon and Kenadi
as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Visitation will be held from L.R. Giberson Funeral Directors, 207
Burnham Rd. Florenceville-Bristol on Saturday, October 7, 2017 from
2-5 pm. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, October 8, 2017 at
2:00 pm from the L.R. Giberson Funeral Chapel. Rev. Robert McNutt will
officiate. Interment will be in St. Paul’s United Cemetery,
Centreville. Donations made to the Upper River Valley Cancer Support
Group, St. Paul’s United Cemetery or to a charity of the donor’s
